Advice from Montagne
Despite the body’s need for the sun and Vitamin D, prolonged exposure to UV-B and UV-A rays can have an adverse affect on the body, especially on the eyes and the skin. Montagne has incorporated new technology into its technical fabric to provide the highest protection needed for outdoor summer sports.
Traditionally, improving sun protection with fabric implied using denser materia, increases weight and decreases breathability of the fabric. In addition, using darker colors (like the bedouin of the dessert) may absorb UV radiation better, but may increase the feeling of being cooked by the sun.
To increase the functionality and lighter-weight clothes, Montagne incorporated intelligent fabric in their line of outdoor tops using an open weave and lighter colors. Through a special process applied during the creation of the fabric, the weave increases the absorption of the sun’s UVA and UVB, but does not modify the appearance, the feel, or the breathability of the clothing.
With Montagne's outdoor tops with UV50 protection, you don't need darker colors. This summer Montagne will accompany you with their especially designed clothing for outdoor adventures
